SENSES ON CANVAS PHILIPPE HALABURDA STUDIO IN AIX-EN-PROVENCE, FRANCE MARCH 2016
On the paths of perception
On the paths of perception
Abstract cognition on canvas, Aix-en-Provence, 2016
I like to walk, hike, and run.
How does my body change my visual perceptions as I walk?
Is my perception sabotaging my confidence?
I believe that my visual perceptions adjust to my physical & psychological capabilities, which helps me gauge the demands at hand.
I can easily imagine it is the same process during my artistic practice.
By juxtaposing these diverse elements, I seek to highlight the interconnectedness of communities and how they contribute to the vibrant mosaic of the city.
In creating these abstract topographies, I draw inspiration from the complex interactions and intersections that define New York's urban landscape.
By layering shapes and patterns, I aim to convey the multifaceted nature
of the city's communities, exploring how they evolve and adapt.
Through my artwork, I hope to celebrate the diversity and resilience of
New York's residents showcase the beauty and complexity of their shared experiences within the larger tapestry of the city.
