Distorted DNA

ARN Briin on paper, Aix-en-Provence, France 2016

Unlike DNA, which is most of the time structured in a double helix, RNA can adopt different conformations very closely related to its function. Thus, some RNA molecules are single-stranded stem loop cloverleaf ( transfer RNA), etc...

I have created 10 specific artworks to represent the different families of fictive RNA and their functions. 

From this scientific basis, I have imagined a completely imaginary RNA architecture enclosed in the cell nucleus.
