Arrzu Akguun series on paper, Aix-en-Provence, France, 2015
I did this series with in mind the memory that Mondrian began producing grid-based paintings.
I have followed the same graphic directions and I broke the urban codes.
As I reached a abstract point where my artistic vocabulary is reduced to simple geometric elements, I can easily see some influential pop artworks...or are they a way to represent the adjacent communities of NYC?
