COGNITIVE ART ON PAPER MEMORY OF SERRDULL SERIES PHILIPPE HALABURDA STUDIO 2022
Forgetfulness
About the theme of "forgetfulness"
Exploring the nuances of memory loss and cognitive decline, I delve into the realm of mild forgetfulness and the initial signs of cognitive impairment.
I depict the delicate balance between memory and forgetfulness through warm colors like red and pink, symbolizing the vibrant energy of mental acuity.
Each brushstroke and strip of tape becomes a visual representation of the brain's response to changes in cognitive function, capturing the subtle shifts in mental skills and abilities.
In this series, pink emerges as the color of the ability to think and learn, embodying the essence of cognitive vitality and intellectual curiosity.
Yet, amidst the warm hues of pink, hints of orange and black intermingle, symbolizing the first signs of mild forgetfulness and confusion.
Yellow represents the sensation of getting lost in familiar places,
a disorienting experience that hints at the onset of cognitive decline.
Meanwhile, black signifies deeper confusion about time, people, and places, reflecting the profound impact of memory loss on daily functioning.
Through the interplay of warm colors and abstract compositions, I invite viewers to contemplate the fragility of memory and the complexities
of cognitive aging.
By visually representing various cognitive problems, I aim to foster a deeper understanding of the early stages of forgetfulness and the importance
of early intervention and support.
Ultimately, this series serves as a poignant reminder of the profound connections between mind, memory, and the human experience.
