TOPOGRAPHICAL ART ON PAPER MAPPING TIIIMGIDD SERIES PHILIPPE HALABURDA STUDIO 2023
Ground writing
About the theme of "ground writing"
Ground writing emerges as an intimate dialogue with
the earth—a silent conversation woven by the rhythm
of footsteps and the texture of terrain.
Translating this ephemeral exchange onto paper, I craft abstract maps that capture the essence of this dance
with vibrant acrylic hues and precision-laid color tape.
Each stroke becomes a reflection of the topography of human experience, a visual cartography of the journey
we undertake through life's varied landscapes.
In this series, the fluid swirls of acrylic paint mirror the dynamic flow of exploration, while the color tape delineates pathways like coded memories etched into the terrain
of our minds.
As the paper becomes a living document, it interprets the tangible imprints of the ground beneath our feet, blending the organic and the abstract into a harmonious synthesis.
Through this fusion, ground writing transcends mere cartography to
become a map of both literal and emotional landscapes—a visual invitation
for viewers to navigate the intricacies of existence through the language
of psychogeography.
With each composition, I strive to evoke a sense of connection to the earth
and to one another, inviting viewers to explore the terrain of their own experiences.
Ground writing becomes a testament to the interplay between the physical
and the emotional, capturing the essence of our journey through
life's ever-shifting landscapes.
Through the language of abstract maps, I hope to inspire contemplation, reflection, and a deeper appreciation for the rich tapestry of human existence.
