Odonyms

About the theme of "odonyms"

In my artistic exploration, I delve into the essence of urban navigation and the stories embedded within the streets through abstracted maps.

Drawing inspiration from the concept of odonyms—street names that serve as identifiers—I translate these mundane markers into a subjective and evocative language.

By infusing each composition with bold lines, vibrant colors, and geometric shapes, I aim to encapsulate the dynamic
and interconnected nature of urban thoroughfares.

Utilizing tape and other mixed media, I create intricate visual odysseys that invite viewers to engage with
the energy and rhythms of city streetscapes.

Each piece becomes a reflection of the bustling activity, intersections,
and hidden narratives that define urban landscapes.

Despite the absence of literal representation, the paper serves as a canvas for capturing the essence of city navigation—a visual journey that transcends the confines of traditional cartography.

Through my abstracted maps, I aim to evoke a sense of curiosity and wonder about the complex tapestry of streets that shape our urban environments.

By stripping away literal interpretation and embracing abstraction,
I invite viewers to explore the deeper layers of meaning and connection embedded within the streets they traverse daily.

With each composition, I seek to spark conversations and reflections on the diverse and vibrant narratives that unfold within the cityscape.
