About the theme of "recycling art"
In my artistic practice, recycling materials goes beyond mere sustainability
—it becomes a cornerstone of my creative process. Every cut tape or discarded piece of paper holds potential, as I see value in even the most minor remnants.
Rather than simply discarding these materials, I am compelled to repurpose them into new artworks, breathing new life into what might otherwise
be considered waste.
This approach to recycling transcends conventional notions of environmental responsibility as I seek to imbue each recycled artwork with cultural and
social significance that surpasses that of the original materials.
Through the transformative power of art, I elevate discarded scraps into meaningful compositions that invite viewers to reconsider their perceptions
of waste and value.
I find myself drawn to both downcycling and upcycling approaches within
the realm of recycling art.
Downcycling involves transforming materials into products of lesser value, while upcycling entails repurposing materials into items of higher value
or quality.
In my practice, I use both approaches, finding unexpected associations
and creative possibilities in repurposing my waste materials.
Through this ongoing exploration, I continue to push the boundaries of
what is possible within the realm of recycling art, discovering new avenues
for creative expression and environmental stewardship.
