ABSTRACT DAYDREAMING ON PAPER      UNBUILD AN OSSKK SERIES      PHILIPPE HALABURDA STUDIO     2021

Staying means leaving

About the theme of "think breaks"

To visually convey the concept of think breaks and their role in providing clarity and recharging focus, I utilize acrylic paint and color tape on paper to create abstract maps that represent the intricate workings of the mind during periods
of mental rest.

Through a combination of colors, shapes, and textures, I illustrate the dynamic interplay between conscious and unconscious thought processes.

The acrylic paint serves as a foundation, allowing for the layering of color tape
to symbolize the complexity of cognitive activity during thinking breaks.

In my artistic interpretation, I draw upon the idea that breaks invest in future productivity and creativity. I capture the transformative nature of mental rest and reflection by strategically arranging color tape to form patterns and shapes.

Each strip of tape represents a different facet of the mind at work, from daydreaming to accessing the unconscious, providing viewers with a visual representation of the myriad possibilities that emerge during moments
of cognitive respite.

As viewers engage with these abstract maps, they are invited to contemplate the role of thinking breaks in their lives and creative processes.

Through the interplay of acrylic paint and color tape, I aim to evoke a sense
of introspection and mindfulness, encouraging viewers to embrace the power of mental rest to enhance clarity and focus.

These artworks serve as a visual exploration of the intricate workings
of the mind and the transformative potential of pausing and reflecting (source: Psychology Today).
