Imaginary topographies

My work process delves into the complex undercurrents of intimate and collective interactions.

Based on feelings or memories, I keep exploring forms and lines in my map compositions on new supports.

I form disaggregated grids and imaginary maps revealing social tensions and relationships, instead of addresses and landmarks.

Geographic abstraction in NYC

I am interested in the randomness of unconscious through imaginary maps as my work is based on emotional recognition
through urban or natural environments.

Mainly inspired by New York, I develop the concept of "geographic abstraction".

I take abstract snapshots

with iPhone everyday

Photographies on urban & vegetal morphology.

Visual rupture without Photoshop retouching

City distortions & collective interactions

I felt the necessity to use new mediums to expand my art process.
It allowed me to develop & to refine my pictorial style, mainly inspired by my experience in NYC.
A personal & artistic reconstruction appeared after a year of complete perdition & despair.

It has been also the end of the "dérive" started in 2015.
