Dillrosunn series on paper, Newburgh, NY, 2022

I made this series inspired by the nature of wood.
Wood is composed of hollow, elongate, spindle-shaped cells that are arranged more or less parallel to each other in the direction of the tree trunk.
Here, I propose another interpretation of these unique characteristics: Let's look behind the bark! 
In these abstract compositions, I combine color tone variations with different wood matters to represent this structural tissue.
