Data literacy

About the theme of "data literacy"

In today's data-driven world, data literacy has become crucial, empowering individuals to navigate and make sense of vast information.

With over 2.5 quintillion bytes of data created and shared daily, understanding how to interpret and analyze this data has become essential for informed decision-making across various domains.

Data literacy encompasses comprehending, evaluating, and communicating data effectively, enabling individuals to extract valuable insights and derive meaningful conclusions from complex datasets.

As an artist, I explore the concept of data literacy through abstract maps, employing color tapes and stickers on paper to visually represent the intricate layers of information that shape our lives.

Each map serves as a metaphorical landscape, reflecting the interconnectedness of data points and their underlying narratives.

By incorporating vibrant colors with the tape and graphic patterns with the letters stickers, I aim to capture the data's dynamic and multifaceted nature, inviting viewers to contemplate the diverse perspectives and interpretations inherent in our digital world.

Through my artistic practice, I seek to foster a deeper understanding
of data literacy by engaging audiences in a dialogue about the significance of data in our daily lives.

By transforming abstract concepts into tangible visual representations,
I hope to inspire curiosity and exploration, encouraging viewers to develop their data literacy skills and embrace the opportunities for knowledge and insight that data provides.
