ECOSYSTEM ART ON PAPER      POUR UN TAAUNJJA ROSE SERIES      PHILIPPE HALABURDA STUDIO     2024

Functional diversity

About the theme of "Functional diversity"

I explore functional diversity through vibrant color tapes on paper, creating intricate mapping art that reflects the varied, dynamic nature of the human experience.

I use color tapes to create layered compositions, each line, and shape representing unique aspects of functional diversity, from sensory differences
to unique cognitive processes.

By combining geometric and organic forms, I aim to build an abstract map
that visualizes how each person navigates the world differently.

These maps are not literal landscapes but rather emotional terrains designed
to communicate the complexity and richness of diverse ways of experiencing life.

Warm colors, such as reds, oranges, and yellows, play a crucial role
in conveying the emotions within this series.

These colors evoke warmth, energy, and empathy, symbolizing
the challenges and strengths of functional diversity.

At 52, I am deeply moved by the importance of acknowledging
and celebrating diverse abilities, reflecting on my journey, and understanding how each interacts with their environment.

Mapping functional diversity in my art allows me to raise awareness
and promote acceptance, fostering a conversation around inclusivity
and understanding that transcends age and connects people fundamentally and emotionally.
