AWARENESS OF THE LAND ON PAPER      ARDDORS HEAVEN SERIES      PHILIPPE HALABURDA STUDIO     2024

Nature recollection mapping

About the theme of "Nature recollection mapping"

I explore how natural environments and landscapes impact our memories, emotions, and sense of place.

In this concept, "nature" is a physical setting and a repository for memories
and associations that shape our perception of specific outdoor spaces.

It involves tracing how elements like forests, rivers, and fields are more than visual stimuli; they evoke past experiences, emotions, and a sense of identity, connecting individuals to the world around them on an intimate level.

Through Nature Memory Mapping, I seek to represent these layered, sensory memories that landscapes embed within us, capturing how nature becomes
a dynamic part of our personal histories.

In my abstract maps using color tapes on paper, I bring these memories of natural landscapes to life by creating textured compositions that suggest layers of earth, water, and air.

Using warm, earthy colors and organic, undulating shapes, I seek to evoke the emotions tied to peacefulness, rootedness, and even nostalgia
for a fleeting connection to nature.

I carefully select colors and patterns that reflect the physical qualities
of landscapes and the sensations they leave behind.

Each line and section of color tape represents a path, a moment of stillness, or the rhythm of nature, inviting viewers to experience
a similar, contemplative feeling of presence and emotional connection
to the natural world.
