VISUAL ECOLOGY ON PAPER P0LLYNAARTORR SERIES PHILIPPE HALABURDA STUDIO 2025
Pollinator pathmaker
About the theme of "Ecology in movement"
I explored how emotional impulses travel through internal landscapes,
like pollinators tracing invisible paths between fragile ecosystems.
Each painting on paper maps the erratic, nonlinear routes of thoughts, memories, and desires as they intersect and scatter.
I wasn’t aiming for harmony; I was chasing motion, friction,
and the raw beauty of cognitive disorder.
The title Pollinator Pathmaker suggests agency.
These works were born from moments where I felt the need to reconnect
the fragmented, like stitching signals back into a broken frequency.
The overlapping layers of tape, ink, and textured fragments mimic nervous systems in flux.

Red lines behave like urgent thoughts; teal and purple shapes act as emotional anchors; graphite and collage interfere like noise in the system.
There’s a play between precision and spontaneity, between what we try
to control and what insists on blooming in its chaotic logic.
These compositions are not maps of a place, but maps of emotional velocity. Each one holds a moment of cognitive collision,
moments I needed to make sense of or let exist.
Making them was a release, a way to give visual form to
what couldn’t be written or spoken.
In these layered, erratic constellations, I found paths I didn’t know
I was walking.
Maybe viewers will find their own.
