Get around New York

Abstract landscapes on canvas, New York, June 2017

This is the first series of paintings when I was staying in a Co-op city in the Bronx.
How has transportation influenced the development of NYC neighborhoods and inhabitants?
Our unconscious state is inextricably linked to transportation, moves, and interactions with others.
The subway is one of the few places in a large urban center where all races, religions, and classes face one another and the same external forces.
This underground psychology is a great way to see sights throughout the five boroughs.
My project is to visualize the traces and impacts of transportation in the city and on our behavior.
