Act of insurgency

About the theme of "urban re-enchantment"

I find psychogeography to be a powerful tool for dissecting the intricate layers
of urban landscapes, offering insights beyond mere urban re-enchantment.

Through this lens, I explore the tangled web of histories and myths woven
into the fabric of cityscapes, uncovering the hidden narratives that shape
our collective consciousness.

Walking or wandering through these spaces becomes an insurgency,
a bold assertion of freedom and autonomy in the face of societal constraints.

In my artistic practice, I translate the concepts of psychogeography into
abstract geometric compositions on paper, using different types of tapes to convey the complexities of urban exploration.

Each tape represents a thread in the intricate tapestry of the city, layering upon one another to create a visual metaphor for the interconnectedness of urban life.

The colors and textures of the tapes evoke the sensory experience of wandering through bustling streets and quiet alleyways, capturing the essence
of psychogeographical exploration.

Through my artwork, I aim to provoke contemplation and introspection
about the urban landscape, inviting viewers to reconsider their relationship with the spaces they inhabit.

By infusing my compositions with the spirit of psychogeography, I hope
to spark conversations about the power dynamics in our cities and inspire
a deeper appreciation for the hidden stories beneath the surface.
