Path of the bee

About the theme of "the bee's path"

When I read that the City of Ljubljana unveiled a Bee Path in 2015, offering visitors a unique opportunity to understand the vital role played by bees in the city's ecosystem, I decided to make a series about this topic.

I am fascinated by bees' crucial role in maintaining food security, biodiversity, and the long-term sustainability of urban environments.

I employ yellow and black colors with tape and paint to create abstract representations of the bee's path within the ecosystem.

Yellow symbolizes the vibrant energy and vitality that bees bring to their surroundings, while black represents the intricate web of connections
and interactions that define their role in the ecosystem.

Using tape, I delineate the pathways and patterns of bee activity, mapping
their journey through urban landscapes and searching for nectar and pollen.

Bold strokes of yellow paint evoke the sunny disposition of these industrious insects, while intricate designs in black illustrate the complexity of their interactions with plants, animals, and humans.

Through my abstract compositions, I aim to raise public awareness of
the importance of bees in sustaining the delicate balance of urban ecosystems.

As viewers engage with my artwork, they are invited to contemplate
the interconnectedness of all living beings and the profound impact that
bees have on our daily lives.

By visually representing the bee's path in abstract form, I seek to inspire appreciation and respect for these remarkable pollinators and encourage efforts to protect and preserve their habitats.

Through the dynamic interplay of yellow and black colors, tape, and paint,
I hope to convey the beauty and significance of bees in promoting biodiversity and sustainability in our cities.
