ABSTRACT MINDSET ON PAPER VESSNINN LIMITS SERIES PHILIPPE HALABURDA STUDIO 2022
Doorway effect
About the theme of the "doorway effect"
In exploring the doorway effect, I delve into the abstract realm of memory
and perception, seeking to capture this psychological phenomenon's enigmatic nature visually.
Through geometric maps rendered with abstract forms and shapes, I aim to depict the intricate interplay between the mind and the physical environment,
as experienced when passing through doorways.
Each composition visualizes the cognitive transitions that occur as we move
from one space to another, illustrating how our memory can be reset and
our focus shifted upon crossing a threshold.
Using bold lines and vibrant colors, I symbolize the threshold of a doorway
as a pivotal point where memory and cognition intersect.
Abstract shapes emerge and dissipate, mirroring the fleeting nature of thoughts and perceptions as we navigate different environments.
The geometric maps serve as a visual metaphor for the neural pathways activated and reconfigured with each transition, highlighting the dynamic nature of human memory and perception.
As viewers engage with these abstract representations of the doorway effect, they are invited to contemplate the fluidity of consciousness and
how our environment shapes our cognitive processes.
Through the language of abstraction, I aim to evoke a sense of curiosity
and introspection, prompting viewers to reflect on their own experiences
of mental blockage and cognitive reset when crossing physical thresholds.
Ultimately, my geometric maps serve as a creative exploration of the complex relationship between mind and space, offering insights into the mysterious workings of the human psyche.
